This non-alcoholic take on a classic Mojito is the perfect refreshing drink for these hot summer months, and makes you feel like you’re sitting in a bar with all your friends! In addition to this drink being tasty, it’s got health benefits too! Mint is an antioxidant-packed with Vitamins A, B2, and C, and is also great for easing digestive problems and relieving nausea and headache.
This recipe can be easily adjusted to suit your taste; you can make it more sweet or sour by playing around with the honey and lime!
Refreshing Virgin Mojito Recipe
Total: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- Handful of fresh mint leaves, washed
- 1 bottle unsweetened club soda/sparkling water/seltzer
- 1 teaspoon honey/brown sugar or more to taste
- Juice from 1/2 lime, plus slices for serving
- Ice
Method
- Muddle the mint leaves in a tall serving glass with a pestle, or the back of a wooden spoon. This releases the oils in the mint leaves, making them even more flavorful!
- Mix honey/sugar with a splash of boiling water until dissolved.
- Add honey/sugar and lime juice to the glass, then top with your sparkling drink and lots of ice.
- Add a slice of lime and a couple of sprigs of fresh mint leaves for serving!
